The 2016 Christmas party was held December 4th at the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery. 50 members of GCADA were present and were treated to an exceptionally fine Christmas buffet lunch provided by the Brown Hound at The Gallery catering service.
It is customary for GCADA members to donate Christmas gifts for CASA, (Court Appointed Special Advocates), for children in foster care. This year there were 65 gifts collected. This will account for approximately 25% of the gifts that CASA will distribute to children. Kudos to the members who make this happen.
After lunch members were provided a tour of the art gallery as well as a special recital by students of the Eastman School of Music. The recital was performed on the 500 year old Baroque organ that was refurbished and donated to the museum. The organ is the only organ of this vintage in North America.
A fun time was had by all who attended.
